Tihati Productions Ltd. is the largest and longest running entertainment company in the State of Hawaii
Beginning in 1969 with a modest cast of six, it has phenomenally flourished into 12 major productions across the State, the producers of large, professional, and uniquely impressive conventions, international tours, television appearances, and international bookings.
Tihati prides itself in authentic Polynesian entertainment and currently employs over 1000 employees, musicians, singers, dancers, and choreographers from every Polynesian island group.
Our in-house conventions department includes experts who will create, refine and provide custom theme parties designed specifically for your event.
Tihati Productions Ltd. also offers technical services: design, sales, rental and repair of sound systems and stage lighting.
In addition to statewide productions shows and conventions, Tihati also provides a large variety of top lounge entertainment, including some of Hawaii’s premier local acts. We book dozens of different acts in some of the most prestigious resorts in Hawaii including The Hyatt Regency Maui, Four Seasons Resort and the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa on Maui, the Hilton Waikoloa Village and Royal Kona Resort on the Big Island, and the Hawaii Prince Hotel, Hyatt Regency Waikiki, Hilton Hawaiian Village, and more on Oahu.
Founders, Jack “Tihati” and Cha Thompson
- Childhood sweethearts who joined forces in the 1960’s. They are the parents of five children and nine grandchildren, all of whom are natural born performers.
- Cha handles choreography for the many types of entertainment Tihati supplies, and Jack directs their productions.
- Awarded the Small Business Persons of the Year in 1986.
- Cha also served for 9 years on the Honolulu Police Commission, and was Chairman her last year with the group.
- Jack is the Vice President of the South Seas Christian Ministries and carries both diplomatic and ceremonial titles from his native Island of Samoa. He is currently the president of the Hawaii State Sheriffs Association.
- The couple actively serve in a number of community organizations and philanthropists to several charities.
